Local Law Enforcement
Around 50 automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.
Police state they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a resident noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish substance.
The liquid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they reported.
Law enforcement then found numerous other marked cars and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.
These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.
Officials state preliminary tests suggest the liquid was likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no lead as to its origin; officials are presently not cognizant of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they stated.
Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have requested to the community for information.
An important political figure said the incident left him speechless and required to be resolved promptly.
"This incident affects the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he stated on online, referring to the murder of nine victims by a shooter aiming at residents of migrant background in February 2020.
